pepsi natural x usa

Now PEPSI RAW is hitting USA with the name of PEPSI NATURAL with another new packaging / design but the same "natural" liquid.

Since a year ago in Europe (UK), Pepsi's attempt at trying to create an all natural version of their regular cola. This new soda is called PEPSI RAW.

The bottle design is organic and sleek. In an attempt to create a "healthy" cola,  an all-natural drink made from apple extract, plain caramel coloring, coffee leaf, tantaric acid from grapes, gum arabic, cane sugar and sparkling water - as opposed to the traditional Pepsi recipe of fructose corn syrup, sugar, artificial colorings, phosphoric acid, caffeine, citric acid and natural flavors.

Now PEPSI RAW is hitting USA with the name of PEPSI NATURAL with another new packaging / design but the same "natural" liquid.

We need to find a good verus test of REGULAR PEPSI vs PEPSI NATURAL. We dig up a really interesing one on KEACHER.COM :"While the regular version had a biting, acidic feel, the natural felt smoother and more mellow.  The regular mouthfeel was inferior, being somewhat astringent.  There was a grittiness on my tounge and teeth with the regular version that seemed absent with the other.  Overall, the taste profile was very similar.  I think that the natural version had hints of cognac, but even in the non-blind test the two drinks were difficult to distinguish.  Later, a couple of my friends also used the adjective “smoother” when describing Pepsi Natural versus regular Pepsi."

The most interesting part of all that is this PEPSI subject, is the design/repackaging work of the US brand. She's got 3 new logos, and have been reworked all of them.

All this new logos are only for US PEPSI brand, they've started to be unveiled at the end of 2008. But a big buzz strikes back last week thanks to massively trafficked reddit.com, a new user posted a PDF to the presentation — humbly titled "Breathtaking" — accompanying the redesign of the Pepsi logo by Arnell Group. The contents are at once hilarious, pretentious and delirious as they try to establish Pepsi as the center of the universe.

Nobody knows about the seriousness of this document. Viral marketing? Real document? Who knows?
